Kingdom Seekers & Cadets

Kingdom Seekers (formerly “Gems”) and Cadets are Christian clubs for boys and girls aged 9-14. During their bi-weekly meetings, participants and leaders come together to do devotions, crafts, sing and have regular outings in the community as well as badge work. The goals of Cadets – helping boys to grow more Christlike in all areas of life and Kingdom Seekers – involving young covenant girls in interactive learning focused on Bible knowledge – show how the programs strengthen the church both internally and externally.

Both of these programs were started in our church as a logical next step following Vacation Bible School (VBS): waiting for a whole year to see these kids again seemed too far away! Thus, everyone is encouraged to bring a friend from their neighborhood along so we may share God’s love and word with those who may not be familiar with it.

The meetings are held on alternate Mondays from 6:30-8:30 in our church building. Please contact head counsellors John VanAmerongen or Deanna Vanleeuwen for more information.

What’s new?
We are going to have an open house before the next season starts where we can show off our projects and all the fun stuff we did throughout the year. Afterwards we will have a BBQ lunch where food and drinks will be provided. We are looking forward to meeting you!
